This majestic Arabian Horse has been created and painted for the Richard & Georgiann Ames Family Foundation, symbolizing the essence of vitality, the jubilant effervescence of life-sustaining oxygen. The “bubbles” are representative of a flute of champagne or the spheres of air in a Pelegrino, as we raise our glasses to toast the noble cause of vanquishing cancer and celebrating life. Bubble is also shaded pink in honor of the 2023 Ames Family promotional campaign “Trot Like A Girl” which raised money in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.
This Arabian statue is part of the Arabian Horses for Humanity project created to bring a life-size artistic rendition of the world’s oldest breed of horse to communities around the world to highlight the beauty and human horse bond that is intrinsic to the breed. For thousands of years the Arabian horse has united people of all cultures and nationalities through its innate ability to interact with humans and help them move forward in life, as it has been since the beginning of time, and to bring people from all walks of life together in a shared goal and appreciation of these unparalleled horses that have the ability to change lives.

The Bubbles Arabian Horse Statue is in the center of the City of Hope Cancer Center gallery, located in Phoenix, Arizona. It is between the clinic (the busiest part of the hospital), on the way to Imaging, Surgery and Radiation. This location was chosen so when patients are going to their diagnostic, screenings, radiation, surgery appts, they can stop and admire Bubbles. Patients can stop and read about the meaning of Bubbles, the Ames Foundation focus and mission in hopes that it can calm or sooth a patients before their next appointments– which can be amazing news or news of a continued fight ahead.
Every patient and caregiver walks past Bubbles for appointments and is welcome to admire and take photos with the beautiful statue.
The Richard & Georgiann Ames Family Foundation is committed to improving the lives of others, through sickness and in health, by donating to cancer research while assisting those very families afflicted. Cancer impacted the Ames Family personally, and the leave a legacy to support a continuous fight against the disease.
The Foundation also supports the efforts to continue education and expanding awareness of Richard and Georgiann’s passion, the Arabian Horse by benefitting The Arabian Horse Promotional Fund, a non-profit dedicated solely to the promotion of the Arabian horse beyond the existing equine community.
